MODALS #T4


MODALS

MODALS is a word that helps the verb. therefore capital is placed side by side with verbs. Modals is also called a change verb. Modals which are often used include:
       1.      Will    -->  Would (willingness)
       2.      May   -->  Might (Probability)
       3.      Can    -->  Could (Ability) 
       4.   Shall --> Should (Suggestion) 
       5.      Must  -->  Has/Have to --> Had to (Obligation) 

Example of Sentences :


- I will come visit you tomorrow.
- My parents will buy a new car if they have sold the old one.
- I would not go anywhere until you give me my money back.
- Would you come to my birthday party tonight?

- I may get up late tomorrow because I am really tired today.
- He may not come to the office today.
- You might win the dance competition if you weren’t fall on the stage.
- I might not be angry if you asked for my permission first.

- She can sing very well.
- I can not wear the dress, it is too small.
- He could not come to your party.
- Could you bring me a glass of water?

- I shall return the camera to Daniel today.
- It is really cold here. Shall I turn off the AC?
- I should go now, I have a lot of works to do.
